Giving Notaries Full Control Over Session Recordings

Posted May 6, 2025

One important part of Remote Online Notarization is that most states require the session to be recorded.
At ProNotary, we believe it makes the most sense to put that control in the hands of the notary.

🔹 Here’s how it works:
When you start a notarization session, you get to decide when the recording begins.
This means you can set everything up — like pre-tagging documents or coordinating with your witness — without having all of that “before” footage included in the official record.

Instead, you can start the recording right when the actual notarization begins.
âś… This keeps your recordings clean, professional, and focused on the required part of the session.

🔹 Bonus Feature:
We also offer screen recording!
For notaries in states where it’s required, you have the option to enable screen recording too — and it’s totally at your discretion, based on your state’s specific guidelines.

If you have any questions about this feature or anything else, we’re always here to help.
